WaveReef Biological Spheres

WaveReef Biological Spheres are highly porous ceramic beads designed to maximize the growth of beneficial bacteria. Their durable structure and ultra-high surface area support efficient biological filtration, helping maintain crystal-clear and healthy water in freshwater, marine aquariums, and ponds.

The porous design provides an ideal habitat for nitrifying bacteria that remove harmful ammonia and nitrites, and in some cases can also help reduce nitrates. Easy to use, they can be placed in an aquarium, sump, canister, reactor, or hang-on-back filter for long-term biological stability.

Usage & Maintenance

• Rinse media before first use.

• Place in sump, canister filter, wet/dry filter, reactor, or directly in aquarium.

• Rinse gently with aquarium water and scrub surface debris every 12 months.

• Add more media to increase biological capacity.
  ⚠️ Do not clean or replace all media at once to preserve bacteria colonies.
